Professional Development and Certification

IAAP has developed and implemented a professional development framework program and certification program to provide professionals working in accessibility and those interested in knowing more about accessibility the knowledge and roadmap they need to influence and implement accessibility within their organization.


Organizational Development

IAAP will develop resources and programs by which organizations, corporations and government entities can grow their accessibility strategies to increase overall access for persons with disabilities. 


Call for Presentations!  The IAAP is accepting proposals from those interested in being an IAAP Presenter at the M-Enabling Summit 2018. This is a great opportunity for you to help advance the skills and knowledge of accessibility professionals from all over the world. Deadline to submit your proposal is November 17, 2017View details and submission form.

The Fall Exam window is open!  Applications are now being accepted for the Web Accessibility Specialist (WAS) and Certified Professional in Accessibility Core Competencies (CPACC) exams.  Window is 9/11 - 10/31. Deadlines vary by location.  Apply to take an exam.

The IAAP is pleased to announce the addition of the IAAP India Chapter. The India Chapter will be led by BarrierBreak, who has been providing accessible solutions globally and in India since 2004. Visit our International Chapters page for more information.  

IAAP welcomes our 2nd International Chapter.  The United Kingdom Chapter will be led by AbilityNet.  Visit International Chapters page for more details.

IAAP is excited to announce the addition of our first International Chapter.  At the M-Enabling Summit, we officially signed on the Nordic Chapter. This chapter will be lead by Susanna Laurin, CEO of Funka Nu.  The Nordic region includes: Sweden, Norway, Finland and Denmark.
