Overview:
Navigating the world of accessibility elements of IT procurement can be daunting and confusing, but proper knowledge and tools, can greatly assist in understanding vendor documents and capabilities. This webinar will provide insight into what to expect from vendors of IT products and services, and tools for assessing vendor capabilities and making sound procurement decisions.Objectives:
- Participants will gain an understanding of what to ask for during the solicitation process, and when.
- Participants will learn the red flags of accessibility documentation in Procurement of accessible IT.
- Participants will have a better understanding of tools available to assess vendor capabilities in IT accessibility.
Speaker Bio:
Jeff Kline is the author of “Strategic IT Accessibility: Enabling the Organization.” He currently serves as Program Director of Statewide Electronic and Information Resources (EIR) Accessibility at the Texas Department of Information Resources. Prior to his current position in public service, Mr. Kline managed IBM's Worldwide Accessibility Consulting and Business Transformation initiatives and other areas of product development during his 26 year IBM career including industrial design, OS software development, and system usability.
