During the COVID-19 pandemic, the Essl Foundation with the Zero Project, The Global initiative for Inclusive ICTs (G3ict) and The International Association of Accessibility Professionals (IAAP), a division of G3ict are offering a series of three (3) free webinars highlighting best practices and solutions from the Zero Project 2020 ICT Educational Innovative recognition awards.

About Brad Turner

Brad Turner is the Vice President and General Manager of Global Education and Literacy for Benetech. His team runs Bookshare, the world’s largest library of accessible books for people with barriers that affect their ability to read printed material, with members in over 90 countries. Brad also leads the Born Accessible effort, driving systemic change within the publishing industry by providing standards and certification for accessible materials. Under Brad’s guidance, Benetech is designing and implementing AI-based technology improvements to improve accessibility of learning materials, focusing on challenging topics like science, technology, engineering, art, and math.

Prior to joining Benetech in 2015, Brad served as the VP of Marketing and Business Development at Inkiru, which was later acquired by Wal-Mart. Brad was the Founder and CEO of the first SaaS medical image and data management company for dermatologists and plastic surgeons. Brad has also worked in a number of other tech companies and is known for developing strong relationships and revenue sources. Brad received his Bachelors degree from the University of California, San Diego.

About Natalí Villariny González

Natali Gonzalez-Villariny is a Senior Accessibility Officer and Expert at Fundación ONCE in Spain, working on a variety of projects. She develops and coordinates accessibility online training courses, reviews mobile devices for accessibility conformance, and researches innovation in accessibility. She is also working on CILIFO, a project dealing with inclusive wildfire disaster preparedness. She obtained her PhD in Social Communication from Complutense University of Madrid.

Vassilis Giannakopoulos (gr.linkedin.com/in/vgiannakopoulos) is happy to be SciFY’s Marketing and Social Impact Manager. His studies in Marketing, Operations Research and HRM and his work in and for multinational companies and in the public sector have provided valuable experience that is now used in the non-profit sector. In SciFY, he has been leading numerous social innovation projects that range from disability and e-democracy to innovation management and technology transfer for more than 5 years. The projects he has led on assistive technologies have had an impact on thousands of users in many countries.
