Prepare for CPACC
IAAP has put together the following resources to help you prepare for the CPACC Certfication Exam. This list includes free and for-purchase resources.
- Read and review the Content Outline
- Review the Body of Knowledge and learning objectives as they relate to the Content Outline
- Identify topics and areas where you have strong knowledge and confidence.
- Identify topics and areas where you will spend time reading, researching, and studying.
- Plan to spend 5-10 hours a week for 6-8 weeks to prepare for your exam.
- Map out the topics and how you will study.
- Choose your preparation resources.
- Launch your study plan.
- Apply for, register, and pay for your certification exam in the Exam Window where you plan to sit for the exam.
- Take your IAAP Certification Exam.
Prepare for Certified Professional in Accessibility Core Compentencies (CPACC) Exam*
- CPACC Content Outline - The CPACC Credential Content Outline provides a summary of the broad areas of content structure that are measured as well as an overview of how the exam sections are weighted and scored.
- CPACC Body of Knowledge - (Opens a PDF document with full citations and sources for exam preparation) The IAAP CPACC BOK is the set of concepts, terms and activities that make up the CPACC professional domain, as defined by the IAAP. The CPACC BOK content supports the exam preparation before participants apply to take the exam.
- The CPACC BOK was updated March 2020 to provide updated learning objectives, additional resources, and to revise any outdated links from prior editions. The revision of content in the CPACC BOK does not change the content of the CPACC Exam.
