Overview:
VPAT 2.3 allows has a new field called "Evaluation Methods Used" which encourages the author to describe the methods used to test the product's accessibility. This webinar discusses one way this field can be utilized in conjunction with a workflow and persona based approach to performing the VPAT testing, including a real-world discussion on how to integrate VPAT testing into the development cycle and specific VPAT concerns for SaaS and Mobile apps.
Objectives:
- Participants will learn to consider global accessibility standards and broad and narrow applications of digital accessibility
- Participants will learn how to draft a plan for universal institutional accessibility
- Participants will understand how institutional accessibility impacts areas like procurement and standalone digital products
Speaker Bios:

Sheri Byrne-Haber is the Head of Accessibility for VMware. She started in January 2019, and her ultimate goal is to make all VMware UIs accessible to everyone, regardless of any disability or use of assistive technology. She has been in the disability / accessibility field for 15 years and has most recently led accessibility efforts for McDonald's and Albertsons. Sheri has degrees in computer science and law as well as an MBA. She is a wheelchair user with a deaf daughter.
